Bills for Android — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Bills for Android ("the app") is published by HurryApp LTD ("we", "us"), 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE (company number 14964453). Contact: hurryappltd@gmail.com.
Summary
- Your companies, customers, items and invoices live on your device. We have no servers that store them and we never see them.
- Data reaches us only when you send us feedback, or when the app sends a crash report (you can turn this off).
- Otherwise data leaves the device only when you choose to share, email, print or export it, or through Android's own device backup if you have it turned on.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising ID. No account with us.
Your data on the device
Everything you enter in the app is stored in its private storage on your device: your companies (name, logo, company and tax numbers, address, payment details, currency, invoice template), your customers (names, company, email, phone and address), your items (name, description, price, tax rate and photo), your invoices, tax rates, payment terms and the app's settings, including the language you choose. The details of your customers are information you manage as their supplier; the app only keeps them on your device, and we never receive them.
Demo mode uses a separate set of sample companies, customers and invoices that the app creates on your device; it does not touch your own data.
Android backup
The app lets Android include its data in your device backup. If backup is turned on in your Android settings, Android may copy the app's database, logos and item photos to your Google Account backup, or move them to a new device during setup, under Google's own terms and privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). On recent Android versions this backup is encrypted with your device's screen lock. Sample data from demo mode, temporary files and unsent feedback are excluded. We have no access to this backup. You can turn backup off in Android's settings.
Sharing, printing and exporting
Data leaves the app only when you do it yourself, and goes where you choose:
- Share, Email and Print create a PDF of the invoice (or a CSV or PDF of a report) and hand it to the app or printing service you pick in Android's share sheet, email app or print dialog.
- Export data writes a file with your companies, customers, items and invoices to the place you pick in Android's file picker; Import data reads a file you pick.
- Call, Email, Open in Maps on a customer open your phone, email or maps app (or browser) with that customer's number, address or location. The app does not read your contacts.
- Logos and item photos come from Android's photo picker, or from the camera app if you choose to take a photo. The app does not ask for camera or storage permissions and only sees the image you pick.
Feedback and crash reports
- Feedback (Settings ▸ Support & Feedback) is sent only when you press Send. It contains the text you write, any images you attach, and technical information: app version, Android version, device manufacturer and model, the language of the device and of the app, screen size, and whether a hardware keyboard is connected. It does not include your invoices, customers or company details unless you write or attach them yourself. It does not ask for your name or email.
- Crash reports: after the app crashes, it sends a report the next time it starts: the type and cause of the error, the technical stack trace (or, for a crash in system code, Android's description of it), app version, Android version and device model. It does not include your invoices or customers. At most a few reports a minute are sent, and the same error only once a minute. You can turn this off in Settings ▸ Send crash reports.
- Both are sent over HTTPS to our support service, hosted by Render (render.com) on our behalf. The app sends no advertising ID, no Android ID and no account information with them. Like any web server, the service receives your IP address with the report; we use it only to limit abuse, and our hosting provider may keep it in its server logs under its own policy.
- If you are offline, a feedback message waits in the app's private storage and is sent when the connection returns.
- We use reports only to fix problems and improve the app, and keep them until they are no longer needed for that, or until you ask us to delete them.
Rate the app and the privacy policy link
Rate the app opens Google Play's own rating dialog: your rating and review go to Google Play under Google's terms, and we see only what Google Play shows to developers. Privacy in Settings opens this page in your browser.
Sync with Google (not yet available)
The app has no cloud sync today. If a future version adds an optional Sync with Google, it will be off until you turn it on, and it will copy your data to a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive that only the app can read; we will have no access to it. This policy will be updated, with the details, before such a version is released.
What we do not do
No advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling or sharing of personal data, no advertising ID, no access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location or files beyond the ones you pick.
Children
The app is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights and deleting your data
- Your data on the device: edit or delete it in the app at any time, or uninstall the app, which removes all of its local data. Copies you shared or exported, and Android's backup, are under your control (Android settings ▸ backup).
- Feedback and crash reports: there is no account to delete. To ask which reports we hold, or to have them deleted, write to hurryappltd@gmail.com; the date of the report and your device model help us find them.
- If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. The legal basis for feedback is your consent (you send it); for crash reports it is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working, which you can object to by turning them off.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
